      <image:title>Directors - Shelbe West</image:title>
<image:caption>PRESIDENT Shelbe is a landscape designer from the rolling hills of West Virginia — a place that shaped her deep reverence for land, ecology, and the stories a landscape can tell. She earned her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from West Virginia University, then set out to put that foundation to work across the country. Her career began in North Carolina before taking her west to Colorado, where she spent years touching landscapes throughout the Southwest and Rocky Mountain regions — each environment deepening her eye for place, plant, and purpose. Now stepping into the presidency of JSR, Shelbe brings that same design-forward, place-conscious thinking to organizational leadership. She arrives in this role with a bold vision for what's ahead — one where innovation and a commitment to education define the direction. She believes that the most powerful landscapes, like the most powerful organizations, are built with intention, resilience, and a long view.</image:caption>

<image:caption>VICE PRESIDENT Shaelyn has been practicing landscape architecture in Colorado since 2020, with a passion for the field that began in high school when she discovered its unique intersection of science, problem-solving, and art. She went on to earn her Bachelor in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia, and became professionally licensed in 2023. In her professional work, Shaelyn brings curiosity and enthusiasm to projects of all scales, and is inspired by a strong belief in the importance of the work - its ability to enrich quality of life for all walks of life. She enjoys exploring how different projects can contribute to larger systems by supporting environmental resilience and artfully connecting people to both the built and natural world. Shaelyn is known not to miss an opportunity to chit-chat in the office with coworkers, and outside of work she enjoys cooking, gardening, and biking to the nearest bakery for a fresh pastry.</image:caption>
